The heroic battery is escaping on your favorite mobile devices.

In September, word arrived that Volt would be ported from PC to mobile platforms, and now that effort has concluded, with the result being that the title is available on iOS and Android storefronts.

In Volt, you take control of a battery that is attempting to make its way out of a recycling factory. There are a lot of dark colors and natural hazards, which mean the title fits in nicely with a variety of indie fare already available on PC and mobile.

“You have to use the battery’s electrical limbs of sticky electric to suspend it over buzzsaws and spikes,” writes Chris Priestman at Pocket Gamer. “Just think of it as having a hookshot in each hand.”

Unlike a lot of recent releases on the App Store, Volt is being offered as a premium title up front, meaning you’ll have to pay $1.99 if you want to give it a shot.
