Tony Hawk spills the beans on some exciting things happening in 2015. by Hands-On Staff There is a new Tony Hawk game in development for consoles and mobile devices, and we know this because Eli Hodapp from Touch Arcade tweeted the skater and asked what had happened to Tony Hawk’s Shred Session. Hodapp wrote about how he grew concerned when Activision went quiet about the future of the mobile game (and even pulled it from the App Store). The response he got from Tony Hawk on Twitter was disappointing and encouraging, all at once. “Sorry, Shred Session has been put on hold indefinitely,” Hawk said. “But I have bigger news for THPS fans… I’m currently working with Activision on a console game for 2015 (along with a new mobile game). I think fans of THPS series will be hyped.” Tony Hawk’s Shred Session actually already went through a soft launch in some regions, but it seems no longer to be part of the company’s immediate plans for the future. Whether some of the tech involved will find its way into the new game or not remains to be seen, but at the very least, it sounds like Activision isn’t ready to give up on the extreme skating franchise.
