The good news is that a follow-up is on the way, but the bad news is that it won’t arrive for a long while yet.

There is a fictional world known as Glorantha, where games such as HeroQuest and RuneQuest have already taken place. Now, according to a post on Touch Arcade, a new game will also take place within that region. It is called Six Ages, and it currently isn’t expected to arrive until at least 2016.

“The plan is for this to be a spiritual successor to King of Dragon Pass,” writes Carter Dotson, “attempting to keep in the tradition of that game’s blend of various elements, like role-playing, resource management, and decisions with long-ranging effects.”

Speaking of King of Dragon Pass, Touch Arcade notes that the older title will be on sale at 50% off, starting today. It’s a purchase that Dotson seems to believe makes a lot of sense: “If you’re looking for a big, beefy experience that can be a slow burn, this is worth checking out.”

You can find King of Dragon Pass on iTunes or Google Play right now. If nothing else, it will give you something to do until Six Ages arrives.
